Last month, ecolyptus took to the stage in Milan as part of the H-Farm Exponential Science accelerator programme, pitching to a room full of business leaders, investors, and innovators at one of Europe's most vibrant deep tech events.

ETHMilan is built around a community that believes in decentralisation, transparency, and using technology to reshape how systems work at a fundamental level. On the surface, that might sound a long way from energy software. But dig a little deeper and the connection is obvious. The energy sector is one of the industries most in need of exactly that kind of rethinking. Smarter data, greater transparency, and more intelligent systems are at the heart of what we build at Ecolyptus, and those ideas resonated with a crowd that thinks seriously about how technology can change infrastructure for the better.

Being an energy software company in a Web3 room made for genuinely interesting conversations. People were curious, asking questions we do not always get asked, and seeing angles in our work that we found refreshing. That is the value of pitching outside your usual bubble.

Beyond the stage, the real value was in the conversations. We left Milan with a handful of relationships we expect to carry forward for a long time. That is what a good accelerator should do: not just prepare you to pitch, but put you in the right room with the right people at the right moment.
